 My Own "Madness" Half Marathon


Location:
Cary is located on US Rt. 14 approximately 50 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.  Take US Rt. 14 west to First Street, North on First St. to Three Oaks Road. Cary-Grove High School.  2208 Three Oaks Road,  Cary IL  60013​.

Virtual "Logging" experience

COURSE:

The half marathon course is a certified USATF course:  IL-14001-JW .  Start is at Cary-Grove High School,  2208 Three Oaks Road , Cary, IL., 60013. The half marathon course has been dubbed the most challenging in Northern Illinois and an excellent training race for spring marathons.  


Scholarship:
The Hillstriders Club will award scholarship money to three or more graduating seniors from a McHenry County high school in memory of Fritz Kauffman.  

Premium/Amenities:
A specially designed technical shirt with a logo from the Art Scholarship winner of 2020 will be provided to all registered runners. Both Men's and Women's sizes will be available.  Finisher medals and shirts will mailed to the mailing address on file or they may be picked up locally during March Madness packet pickup on Saturday.

New Course Record

My Own "Madness" is a virtual yet non virtual event. This event is setup so you can run the course on your own and keep social distancing during this covid pandemic. You will still run 13.1 miles on your own time, however you must run the actual March Madness Course in Cary, IL. The virtual part is only logging your time. Race Roster has been setup so you can log your finish time and send a screen shot of your course or a selfie at the finish line. You must complete the run by April 4th. Everyone who registers up will get a March Madness T-Shirt and a Finisher Medal.

Results will be posted on this page when you complete the course.
